Give Back Thursday: NAMI 8/1 at Louette

Mental Illness isn’t something people talk about very often, mostly because it probably affects them in one way or another.  1 in 4 families are affected by mental illness, and it’s an illness that needs to be talked about.  NAMI is an absolutely amazing organization helping those who suffer from mental illness, and we are proud to donate a portion of sales from Give Back Thursdays to them.

Our next Give Back Thursday event on August 1st will be benefiting NAMI, the National Alliance for Mental Illness.  This Thursday will be the perfect time to come get those gameday outfits, because let’s be honest, some might call the way we cheer for the Dawgs a mental illness!

What is NAMI?

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need.

How can you help?

First thing, shop at Give Back Thursday! And after that, you can head over to the NAMI website for ways to volunteer, help out, or talk to congress.  You can also participate in NAMIwalks.

Have a family member or friend who needs help?

Check out the NAMI support page for resources.

Swing into Louette on Thursday, 8/1, from 6-8pm and support a great cause while picking up a great outfit.  Maybe the baby needs a new onesie, you need a new summer scarf or you need a new clutch.  Whatever it is, it’s worth it.
